It’s well-known that the real estate market slows down from November to January, thanks to big holidays and all the hustle and bustle of the season. Does this mean that the real estate market is dead? Should you hold off any real estate transactions until spring?

The answer to both of these questions is NO! 

The market may slow down, but there are still serious buyers and sellers on the market looking to make a deal ASAP! Because of this, it can actually be a GREAT time to buy or sell a home!

Why You Should Sell Now!

During the holiday season, buyers tend to be more motivated. The inventory of homes on the market is also generally lower. Thanks to the lower number of homes for sale your house will likely stand out to those buyers looking to buy quick. 

Buyers also have more time to look for homes during the holidays… and real estate professionals in the industry are often-times less busy. Scheduling showings and inspections can be a little easier during this time of year.

Homes also generally look amazing during this time of year, with some extra holiday cheer. Although you don’t want to completely deck your house out with decorations, having a holiday wreath and some garland can add a nice touch.
