Although the words “tax season” don’t usually bring smiles, the phrase “tax refund” does. Paying taxes is never fun, but trying to decide what to do with your tax refund can open up doors of creativity.
Although a tax refund isn’t usually enough for you to do a full-on kitchen remodel or home addition, there are a few different home improvement projects you can take on thanks to the little bit of extra cash.
Here are a few ideas.
Curb appeal is important, especially when you’re looking to sell your home.
Maybe plant some new flowers or bushes in the front yard or paint the exterior of your home. Maybe add new door.
There are several ways to make your home look amazing from the outside!
Paint can go a long way. Whether you’re doing touch-ups on baseboards, repainting kitchen cabinets to a trendy white, painting your front door a bold red, and/or painting your whole interior to the fave – “taupe“, new paint can do wonders for your home!
Not only is it cheap, but there are so many ways to incorporate new paint! It’s a great way to give it a face-lift.
Changing lighting fixtures and hardware in your home is cheap, yet it gives your home a “new” look. Try some trendy hanging lights in the kitchen or add silver knobs on the drawers and cabinets.
Give the bathrooms a face-lift with new faucets.
Redoing the flooring in your entire house can get a little pricey, so just focus on one room. Maybe add the wood-look tile to your kitchen and main living area. Or get a big area rug for your family room.
Or if you’re getting ready to move and you feel that your current home is already show-worthy, maybe throw the extra cash toward the down payment of your new home!
Let’s get you into that new home PRONTO!
