Home    You’re Not Alone – Annoyances of Buying a Home

Buying a home is typically associated with impatience, frustration and new gray hairs. You’re not alone if you think like this. Finding your dream home is a big and stressful process, but it doesn’t always have to be. Here are some common annoyances of buying a home and how you can push through them (or avoid them all together).

You’ve found the perfect home on the MLS and you want to see it RIGHT NOW! You give your realtor a call and find out that the seller can’t accommodate a time to tour the home that fits your requested schedule. Not to mention, trying to schedule an inspection!

SO MUCH MONEY!

Buying a home involves A LOT of money! Not only do you have to somehow come up with a down payment, but you should also have the first month or so of your mortgage payment prior to moving in, and then you still have closing costs and moving expenses to consider!

Money will be literally flying out the window! But it doesn’t have to be stressful. We will work with your lender and title company to estimate the amount of money you will need to purchase your new home, so you have a pretty clear idea of how much it will cost. Realizing these costs now and saving up for it is the best way to not be caught off guard.

Maybe you feel the home is listed too high, or maybe you want the seller to reduce the price or throw in some closing cost concessions since you’ll have to remove their heinous shag carpet once you move in. Sometimes the sellers aren’t willing to agree with you if they are getting lots of interest in their home, and it will take some serious negotiating to get this home under contract.
